After Oxford, Mark trained with Payne Hicks Beach in Lincoln's Inn and became a
partner there 4 years after qualifying, heading their estates management
department. He has continued to deal with all property aspects of
urban and rural holdings. handling a diverse portfolio ranging from agricultural
tenancies to major development projects, including inner city regeneration.
Mark
also specialises in residential
development, landlord and tenant and enfranchisement matters. He has been
involved in the government’s consultation process relating to the implementation
of Commonhold. |

Angela

Angela heads the Business Development Team and
the Volume Remortgage department,
which acts for Lenders nationally. She has specialised in residential conveyancing for 21
years becoming a Partner in 1985 with national practice Clarke Willmott, moving
to Battens in 2002. Angela is highly pro-active and works closely with Lenders
and Brokers, incorporating their administrative and reporting requirements
within our own processes. Angela has been a former guest speaker at Lenders'
Conferences and has run training seminars for Lender's staff on volume
processes. Angela is a "people person" with the ability to set standards and is
both analytical and creative in equal measure. She is used to meeting the
needs and aspirations of clients and combines soft skills with technical
expertise. Angela is a member of the PISCES Lender Conveyancer
Working Group, working to set electronic communication standard between Lenders
and Conveyancers as part of the Government's e-conveyancing strategy. |

Philip Hall

Philip trained as an engineer at Cambridge and, after a successful Royal Navy
career, qualified in law at Bournemouth before training at Clifford Chance in
the City. Post qualification he stayed on to deal with estates management and
property aspects of large corporate transactions. Moving back to his Dorset
home he joined a local firm to strengthen his commercial base for a few years
before specialising once more in property matters at regional firm Clarke
Willmott. Philip has been acting principally for private investors (both
personally and through their corporate vehicles) dealing with their commercial
and residential property portfolios through acquisitions, disposals, landlord
and tenant work, site development and option agreements as well as agricultural
land deals. |
