Where a property chain exists the
successful completion of each transaction on time depends on other
transactions also completing within the chain. This can sometimes be the
cause of problems, delays and consequent frustrations.
The purpose of the Chain Matrix trial
system is to provide up-to-date information on the progress of
transactions within the chain. This will be useful to us and the other
lawyers involved and should assist in minimising these problems and
delays. It will allow you to track the progress of your
transaction over the internet from the Land Registry site as well as
through our own system.
In order for the Chain Matrix trial to be
effective we will need to enter details of your transaction into the
system and to keep it up-to-date. Please note that your identity
and that of the property involved will not be available to others in the
chain. This personal information will remain confidential to us as your
solicitors, your estate agent and lender if they are taking part in the
trial.
Your involvement in the trial is
voluntary and we will understand if you do not wish to be involved. If
you do decide to participate, you are agreeing to: -
1.
Allow us to enter details on
your behalf into
the Chain Matrix system
2.
Give us
accurate information
3.
Notify
us of any changes to your circumstances that may affect your
transactions;
4.
Conform
to the general duty of good faith between us and other participants
